A neighborhood found to the southwest of Downtown Nashville, Sylvan Park is quiet and quaint. It’s a beautiful place to call home with plenty of unique homes and businesses all throughout. Sylvan Park is found off Murphy Road and I-440. It’s a well-established neighborhood providing easy access to the city.

Real Estate in Sylvan Park

Many of the homes in Sylvan Park are older including 1920s clapboard homes and 1930s bungalow homes. Several of the older homes have been renovated making this one of the most popular places for those relocating to Nashville. The neighborhood also offers several upscale housing options with properties ranging in size and price all throughout.

While there really isn’t much new construction in Sylvan Park, the renovated homes give the feeling of a newer home without the cost of new construction. In addition, the older homes retain their character and offer a blast from the past with plenty of modern features.

Along with single-family homes, Sylvan Park offers several condo buildings including Station 40, Westlawn Green, Parklane and West 46th. Each provides a unique choice to call home with plenty of options to fit any type of condo buyer’s budget.

While some properties in Sylvan Park can be rather expensive, it’s known as an affordable neighborhood. It’s an up-and-coming choice and often cheaper than some of the other neighborhoods throughout the area.

Shopping, Dining & Entertainment

Sylvan Park offers plenty of shopping, dining and entertainment. Several local shops, such as The Blooming Boutique and Elle Gray are found here. Oak Nashville is another option with a unique shopping experience for all to enjoy. With the location close to Downtown and other top Nashville neighborhoods, it’s easy to find other great places for shopping near Sylvan Park.

The dining offers several of the top choices in Nashville with many foodies flocking to this area. Hugh Baby’s is the place for a burger, while Hattie B’s is the right spot for authentic Nashville Hot Chicken. In addition, Sylvan Park is home to M.L. Rose and Edley’s Bar-B-Que. There are several other great restaurants found throughout the area to enjoy, too.

When it comes to entertainment, it doesn’t get much better than the Nashville Opera and Nashville Ballet. Both are found in Sylvan Park, along with the McCabe Golf Course. There are plenty of other entertainment options found nearby, as well.

Both Richland Park and Clifton Park are found in the neighborhood. These are both good choices if you want to walk your dog or enjoy a relaxing walk by yourself. McCabe Park is also connected to the neighborhood and offers a playground and other great amenities.
