Nashville also offers plenty of professional sports in just about every major sport. The Nashville Predators are the hockey team, while the Tennessee Titans are the football team. The Oakland Athletics Triple-A affiliate is also found here called the Nashville Sounds. If you love sports, you’ll have plenty to enjoy all throughout Nashville year-round.
Bridgestone Arena is the home of the Nashville Predators, but it’s also known for the concerts held here throughout the year. In addition, Nashville is home to the Grand Ole Opry, several music museums, the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, the Nashville Ballet and even a full-scale replica of the Athens Parthenon.
If you love being outside, Radnor Lake State Park offers plenty for you to enjoy. In addition, the Cumberland river offers plenty of water activities and there are several other great parks all throughout the area.
There are several major universities and colleges throughout Nashville, as well. A total of 20 accredited four-year universities and colleges call Nashville home including Vanderbilt University.
